As an instructional designer consultant with JAG Global Learning, I had the opportunity to work on an advanced consumer protection course for select U.S. government staff. This project was a virtual one, which meant that I worked extensively with Adobe Connect to create an engaging and interactive learning experience.
One of the first steps in this project was to collaborate with a subject matter expert to develop the course content. We then worked together to ensure that the course was designed in a way that met the needs of the target audience.
In addition to collaborating with the subject matter expert, I also coordinated with the government client and vendor agency to ensure that the course was delivered according to their specifications. This required me to be responsive to their feedback and to make changes as necessary.
Once the course was completed, I created course summary reports that included feedback from the learners and suggestions for how the course could be improved in the future. This allowed the client to see the impact of the course on their staff and to make data-driven decisions about how to continue to develop their training programs.
Overall, this project was a challenging and rewarding experience that allowed me to showcase my skills as an instructional designer. By leveraging the latest technology and collaborating with subject matter experts, I was able to create a course that was both effective and engaging for the learners.
